    Windows 10 installation has failed - Dell Latitude E6430


    I have a Dell Latitude E6430 i7-3740QM 2,7GHz CPU, 16Gb RAM, 1Tb Samsung 850 EVO SSD that has been running 64-bit Windows 7 Pro SP1 for years. I successfully upgraded it to Windows 10 when it first became available but decided I didn't like it and reverted back to Windows 7. Now, however, I am increasingly finding that apps I want to use won't run on Windows 7, so I am forced to upgrade. But now, the upgrade from 7 to 10 will not work. It gets a good way through about 75% at last attempt then a set-up window pops up saying "Windows 10 installation has failed". There is no error code or

    Cannot Setup Windows Hello on Dell Latitude E6430

    I am trying to setup the fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello on my Dell Latitude E6430. However, when I run through the setup process, the progress bar runs to about 40% then a window pops up saying, "Sorry, something went wrong. Close Windows Hello, and
    try going through the setup again."

    I have the correct drivers installed, and I updated the reader's firmware.

    All my laptops (Dell E6430s) have some weird issue with updates.

    Dell E6430 Touchpad


    Hi everyone,

    I have a Dell E6430 laptop and the ALPS touchpad does not work properly under Windows 10 Pro.
    On bootup only the left button works, and this is behaving reversed (as if it was a right button click), and the right button does not work at all.
    Can only really use the laptop with an external mouse plugged in.
    Have tried various Alps drivers but to no avail.
    Any suggestions at all ?
