Windows 10: Windows 10 Installation Problems HELP

Hi everyone, i was trying to help one of my friend. He needed to format his pc and reinstall windows 10 on Ssd instead of hdd like he has now.

Created USB installation device with Media Tool (did 2 times). Installation starts and sometimes also completes but he's getting some errors. (One is i can't select the ssd drive while on installation steps and pop up tells me to check into bios if controller is disabled but can't see any option-Second one happen when i finish installation on ssd but boot is corrupted due to winload.exe file)

For the winload.exe i tried using cmd (while usb installation) to use bootrec /fixmbr (this work), bootrec /fixboot and bootrec /rebuildbcd but these don't work.

Can u list me a 100% sure guide to install windows on a ssd? I also have the possibility to remove ssd and use it like and usb drive with an usb/sata adapter (that seems a good option for me at this point).

I tried every possible solution it came to my mind (secure boot on/off-csm auto/off/on- platform key's loaded/unloaded-ssd ahci). I also tried default bios settings but still didn't change the output.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
