Windows 10: Windows 10 Installation Troubleshooting

Hi everybody!

My dad (70+) has recently bought a windows 10 laptop, but has been having issues finalising the initial set up. I was wondering if anybody had any troubleshooting tips for us to try.

The problem seems to be with the two factor authentication in creating his account, as he entered his landline instead of his mobile number. As he can’t clear this step, he’s not sure how exactly to proceed. He’s tried taking it over to my sister for her to help, but he can’t connect to her wifi, and appears to be stuck in limbo.

I plan on creating a Microsoft account on my end for him and then recommend rebooting the laptop and start again with the new credentials.

Is this the best course of action?

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
