Windows 10: Windows 10 installed on 2 drives, just reinstalled Win10 on drive 1 but now I can't get...

I currently have two SSD drives that have Windows 10 installed on them. One I use for gaming, the second is for work. I've done this setup for over 10 Years, using two separate drives with Windows on them for this purpose. Usually whenever I boot up and it passes the bios screen, I get the Windows boot option where I'm able to choose which of the 2 installs I want to go into.


Here's my drive overview for reference.


1) 240GB SSD - Windows 10 installed (gaming)

2) 120GB SSD - Windows 10 installed (work)

3) 480GB SSD - storage / games

4) 500GB HDD - storage

5) 650GB HDD - storage

6) 750GB HDD - storage


So over the weekend I wiped the 240GB SSD (gaming) and any partitions on it, and reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 10. However after booting and passing by the bios the system boots directly into the newly installed Windows 10 on the 240GB SSD. I no longer get the option to choose which copy of Windows 10 I enter into.


The other issue is that when I choose to boot into the 120GB SSD drive manually I get this error:


Windows failed to start.. (etc).

Status: 0xc000000f

Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.


I see the 120GB showing up just fine in the bios, plus I can view and access the drive just fine while booted into the newly installed Windows 10 on the 240GB.


I've tried using the command prompt while having the Windows 10 install USB in, and doing the bootrec commands such as /fixboot /fixmbr and /rebuildbcd which hasn't helped.

We want to know about the issue you're having with your recovery drive. Please answer the questions below:

• Are you trying to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10?
• If you already upgraded to Windows 10, were you able to create a new copy of the recovery drive?
