Windows 10: Windows 10 is asking me to enter "A1B2C3" for failed attempts, but I never made an attempt...

Can someone tell me why this is happening? I'd say 3 out of 5 times I turn on my computer I'm told by Windows that I failed the login process and I need to type in "A1B2C3" even though the computer literally just got turned on and my keyboard and mouse were untouched. I'd say 1/2 the time it doesn't happen, it tells me I'm putting in the wrong pin, despite it being correct yes I have numlock on. Anyone have a solution for these problems? Not that it is overly frustrating, but I dont want to get locked out of my computer at some point because this issue wont go away.

Required to type 'A1B2C3' before entering PIN

As of a week ago, I have been receiving the error message, "You've entered an incorrect PIN serveral times. To try again enter A1B2C3 below." The problem with that is that I have never entered my PIN incorrectly and am the only one that utilizes my desktop. I have ran malware/virus scans and have turned up zero discrepancies. Additionally, I reinstalled Windows 10 (and activated) a month ago after upgrading my motherboard, processor, and memory. So why is it asking me to enter in this letter/number combination EVERY time despite never having entered in my PIN incorrectly? This is rather annoying and essentially a two-step authentication factor, of sorts, that I did not ask for. Is anyone else experiencing this?

 

Windows 10 Updates fails to install even after multiple attempts.

Checking for updates after following the steps, Will inform on the progress of the update process and whether this solves it or nope. Thank you for the suggestion.

The Trick didn't work.





The Security Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3074681) which was available, failed to install. And the same story again..

After encountering a number of Windows 10 Updates failed attempts I notice a lengthy list has accumulated in

- > In Windows 10 under “View Your Update History”



i.e. Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Update -> Advance Option -> View Your Update History.



Is it possible to clear or delete update items that have failed?

If so how?

At the moment I have 16 listings of KB3124200 failed attempts, and almost equally so of KB3119147.

And notice KB3124200 is still attempting to download but it most likely it will be a failed attempt again.
