Windows 10 is associated with a Yahoo account that is being closed. Need to move association to other Microsoft account.


planning on closing my yahoo account, but Windows 10 is on that account. Windows does not have a registration code it is merely associated with this account. So I need to move it. Recently I had a windows problem which could only be fixed by signing on to this account. So I want to make sure windows moved on both computers before I delete account.

Exactly. I'm just laughing at all those trying to shut down their Yahoo accounts like headless chicken....
Do these people even know where their security settings are, that Yahoo too has 2-step verification, and how they can set up individual passwords for less secure apps that don't allow 2-step verification?

Sadly for some of us who have email accounts provided indirectly by Yahoo (the email address isn't "xyz@yahoo.com", but the email account is still managed on Yahoo's servers and reputedly within scope of the hack) 2-step verification isn't an available option.

I don't know who your intermediary is but if they do not do two step verification I would be astonished.
Sky using Yahoo certainly insist on it.....mine being ********@sky.com
You should check settings.
