    Windows 10 is freezing and manual crash does not work


    Hi,


    I have a Dell Inspiron 15 i7 with 8gb of RAM and 16gb Optane device.


    A few months back it started freezing without a reason. After digging in the web about this issue I have tried some steps without any luck yet.


    1 I upgraded all the drivers using Dell's webpage

    2 Followed instructions to change some power options

    3 Ran sfc, dism, chkdsk, memtest, etc

    4 Reinstalled Windows 10 from Dell's image

    5 Reinstalled Windows 10 from Microsoft's image

    6 Disable all features in BIOS Intel turboboost, speedstep, on-board lan, on-board wifi, audio, camera, etc

    7 Disabled Optane and then reinstalled Windows


    And recently I tried to generate a memory dump when the computer was frozen, without any luck. It was posible when the laptop was not frozen, but as soon as it is frozen the key combination to generate the manual crash does not working as well.


    Something really rare that I found out is that the issue occurs much more often just need to open Roblox, for example when the power option is set to "Balanced" and the power slide is in the middle or in the left. I have created a high performance power plan and the laptop takes much more time to freeze some times it works just fine for an entire day.


    Also, when I unplug the charge cable it does not matter in which power plan it is, it will freeze in minutes or seconds.


    Any idea on how to discover where the problem is?

    all games crash!

    ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
