Windows 10: Windows 10 is getting new cumulative updates with improvements

Microsoft has just released new cumulative updates for three different versions of the Windows 10 operating system. The new patch is available for Windows 10 April 2018 Update, Fall Creators Update and Creators Update. It comes with a small list of bug fixes and improvements.

The update for three versions of Windows 10 contains the same list of changes and it addresses some persistent issues across the platform.

Windows 10 April 2018 Update is also getting the new patch


if you’re on the Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803,) you’ll be seeing KB4345421 which bumps your build up to 17134.166. It may show up as 17134.167 on some computers. Microsoft is releasing KB4345420 for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update which bumps the build number to 16299.550.

If you’re still on Windows 10 Creators Update, or version 1703, will be seeing KB4345419 (Build 15063.1208).

• Addresses an issue that may cause some devices running network monitoring workloads to receive the 0xD1 Stop error because of a race condition after installing the July update.
• Addresses an issue with the DHCP Failover server that may cause enterprise clients to receive an invalid configuration when requesting a new IP address. This results in a loss of connectivity.
• Addresses an issue that may cause the restart of the SQL Server service to fail occasionally with the error, “Tcp port is already in use”.
• Addresses an issue that occurs when an administrator tries to stop the World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC). The W3SVC remains in a “stopping” state, but cannot fully stop or it cannot be restarted.

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install
