My laptop is really running slowly at the moment. I sorted it out when it happened the other day when it first happened by doing a windows 10 update trouble shoot, but this time it didn't make any difference when I did it again. All programs run slow and performance manager shows that there is no real CPU or memory usage. The CPU is an i7 4810MQ, there is 16GB of memory and the operating system is on a Samsung SSD 860 EVO mSATA 250GB so there is plenty of capacity there. Its been a problem since a recent update. I have tried alsorts to try to get it to work but nothing seems to work. Has anyone any ideas? Its really frustrating as before this happened the laptop really flew.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .
