Windows 10: Windows 10 is increasingly slow for no good reason. What is the best "quick reinstall" option?

I need to reinstall Windows 10 because it recently started to lag for no good reason. It will randomly slow to a crawl, task manager either doesn't load or shows nothing is the matter. I believe something is corrupt within Windows but the logs don't show anything that is helpful. I'm finished trying to diagnose it and just need it to run better. The computer takes about 60 seconds to load me into Windows from a shutdown state, it used to be about 5 seconds when I initially installed W10 on the SSD.

What is the best way for me to a quick reinstall Windows 10? I would really really like it to keep the programs installed and the file paths, that section usually takes 5-10 hours to setup back to the way it was originally. I will be upgrading my SSD size and reinstalling Windows there in December, so I only need it to run better until then. Apologies if there's a better place to ask this.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

windows 10 slow boot

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.

 

Reinstalling Windows 10 to sell a PC - is the 'Remove everything' option enough?

Restore factory settings do list Removes your personal files, apps and settings, and reinstalls the version of Windows that came on this PC.

So if this isn't true well than just erase the drive and install a clean Windows 10 with all the drivers u need but why should it be true
