I had been suspecting for a while now that something may be wrong with my computer (or Windows 10), and I could never quite put my finger on it.



The laptop hasn't gone through much wear and tear, especially in the last two years since I've barely used it.



Basic things like typing, and clicking (and getting a reasonable response time) just take forever. Opening a folder just makes the system freeze and I just recently did a reset and a refresh.



Playing games isn't a problem but everything else is

Because of the problem with slow Windows 10 the download you suggested is taking forever!!!

I would suggest you to Run Maintenance task

The Run maintenance task checks issues that might slow down your computer's, such as how many users are currently logged on to the computer and whether multiple programs are running at the same time.

Follow the below steps.

• 
  Press Windows + X on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on Run maintenance task under
  System and Security.

Try the followings steps:

  Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter.
