  1. Windows 10 is malware?

#1 Ok, the title was a joke, but it's somewhat true. I'm not sure how to disable these notifications as I've tried numerous settings and they won't go away. They happen every time I go into "settings" and they pop up else where when I'm doing other things. There's more Windows-specific notifications than this, but this is just a sample of what I screen shot to show as an example.

Highly annoying. How do I stop this?

    Thanks

#2 Windows update is really annoying. How can I set it so that I can manually update when I want?

Settings > Update and Security > Advanced Options > "Show a reminder when we're going to restart"

That's IT? So I'll get a pop up notification/reminder when my computer is going to restart and I have to keep adjusting the restart date?

I guess the only other option is to go Services > Windows Update > Startup Type > Disabled > Apply > Ok.

Maybe disabling permanently is the best option for me even though I don't want to do that, but every time I leave my computer for a few hours Windows always decides to update and restart. NO THANKS!

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. Windows 10 malware

This morning, came to my PC, to see that (sneakily in last Win 8.1 updates) there was some "Get Windows 10" malware app, updating and rebooting and reconfiguring my PC through multiple reboots. It was at a critical time of my working morning and I couldnt get to my PC.
