Windows 10 is receiving the cumulative updates with fixes

Microsoft is today rolling out cumulative updates to all supported versions of Windows 10 including the Windows Phones. The May 2018 Patch Tuesday updates are available for all Windows 10 versions and it brings the general bug fixes. Microsoft hasn’t fixed a lot of bugs with today’s update but the changes are enough to deliver an improved user experience.

The May 2018 updates include security and non-security improvements, and Microsoft is not shipping new features to any version of the operating system. Needless to say, the cumulative updates include fixes for vulnerabilities and it’s always better if the users install these patches as soon as possible.

Installing a cumulative update on Windows 10 does not introduce any noticeable changes but these patches make sure that the system is not vulnerable to any attacks. KB4103721 is available for Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803), and the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709) is getting KB4103727.

Microsoft has also released KB4103731, KB4103723, and KB4103716 for Windows 10 version 1703, 1607 and original RTM, respectively. You can you install the updates today to fix the reported bugs and vulnerabilities that were discovered in the previous months.

The changelog of the cumulative updates isn’t huge as Microsoft is only addressing the most important bugs. Similar improvements and fixes could be part of the next Patch Tuesday cycle. As part of the Patch Tuesday, the Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer and Windows app platform are also getting security fixes.

The newest version of Windows 10 called April 2018 Update is today receiving the first patch with a small list of bug fixes and improvements. The Windows 10 April 2018 Update is also known as version 1803 is available for download via Windows Update, Media Creation Tool and Upgrade Assistant.

Microsoft will be also releasing the Windows 10 April 2018 Update to more users in the coming days, but the rollout will take place in waves to avoid the widespread of any possible bugs. The rollout of the newest version of Windows 10 is expected to complete in approximately three months. In other words, all Windows 10 devices will be allowed to install the updates by summers.

It is, however, worth noting that the manual upgrade option will continue to be offered. More information on how Microsoft plans to roll out Windows 10 April 2018 Update will be provided in the coming days.
