Windows 10: Windows 10 is stuck in Quick Access. thread closed, solution unclear.

Seems others have this problem. I tried the suggestion of going to control panel and clearing the history of PC file management, but they didn't clear, so I unchecked them. Now FM had PC as well as quick access, and no files, just the expanding green bar.

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

You might be experiencing the issue with Quick Access due to corruption among data which your system stores for frequent folders record. In this case, we suggest resetting the data to resolve the issue. You may refer to the steps below:

1. Right-click on the Start menu and select Command Prompt (Admin).
2. Type the following command and press Enter: del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
3. Close Command Prompt and reboot your system.

I browsed to this folder and it's already empty.

C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent
