    Windows 10 is Stuck


    After entering password, windows opens the desktop but is stuck loading. This issue started after going through a windows update a few months ago. I want to try starting up in safe mode. I've seen the option to do that in the window that gets displayed when battery is low. My laptop doesn't respond to anything. However, at some point I was googling suggestions & trying different things. One thing I tried actually opened that window. But I don't remember the combo and haven't been able to find it again. It was a combination that I'm pretty sure included shift & a function key and maybe control or alt.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
