Windows 10: Windows 10 is uploading data during updates.

Hi Team,


Windows 10 is uploading updates during app/system updates even if the "Allow downloads from other PCs" option is turned off. I have also set the connection to metered even if its a 100Mbps UL/DL link, just to prevent the uploading. I even tried the windows update troubleshooting, yet no success. It still continues to upload data to someplace.


Recently I even noticed that this is the same case whenever I download games via gaming clients like Steam, Epic games..


Please let me know if this is a bug yet to be fixed and is there a workaround for the same. Attached is a screenshot from task manager in support to explain my problem. One can notice that the speed drops when windows starts the upload process thereby slowing down the update process. My Wi-Fi drivers are upto date and defender scan says all good.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
