Windows 10: Windows 10 ISO Build Version

I purchased Windows 10 a few months ago and have had problems upgrading to the new builds 1511 and 1608 since then, installation always freezes at 93% and I haven't had any luck using Microsoft support.

I'd like to have the latest build and thinking a fresh install might be my best option, if I download Windows 10 from the website onto a USB drive, what version will I have?

Also, I assume my Windows 10 product key will work on the new builds ok?

I'm hoping this will fix the problems I've had to date.

How to install a specific build of windows

You can still download Windows 10 build 1511 ISO files on the web from sites like THIS and clean
install Windows 10 from the ISO.

However, Windows 10 Update will upgrade you almost instantly to a newer version, the only remedy you will have, is to install version 1511 and turn off automatic updates until the developer of your software updates it!

Hi,

The iso file created from the install.esd was already named as windows 10 pro build 14393 DVD (build 1067) I tried to install on Virtual box and it installed as windows 10 pro build 1067.

I have at the same time tried windows media creation tools to download the latest windows 10 home build 1067, the downloaded iso file was indeed windows 10 home but an older version to year 2015.

How can I obtain this latest build of windows 10 home iso?

If you use this guide: Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums[2]=Installation%20and%20Setup it will download last stable version and help you make USB or DVD installation disk.
If you had any W10 properly activated with MS (they keep activation on their server), you can do clean install any time as long as it's activated on that device(computer) and will not be required to enter product key, just skip it when asked to during installation.
