Windows 10 issue with fixed CPU multiplier after waking from sleep

    My setup:

ASUS X99-DELUXE/U3.1 mobo with BIOS version 1801
    Intel 5960X CPU
    G.Skill Ripjaws 4 64GB
    GeForce GTX 650 Ti

No overclocking - I'm just using stock setting to maintain a stable system

Dual booting Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) and Ubuntu 14.04.3 (64-bit)

    The problem:

I recently purchased the above hardware as an upgrade to an aging system and it is current running very well. However, the problem I am having is that whenever I sleep/suspend the machine it comes back with the CPU multiplier locked at x8, which is only giving me 800MHz on all 8 cores. I can't seem to change it either
though the Windows power plans (ie. changing from Balanced to Performance) or through ASUS tuning software. If I reboot the machine then it works again as it should, moving between 1.2GHz and 3.5GHz as the load decreases or increases.

An interesting thing to note is that the sleep function works perfectly in Ubuntu Linux. This leads me to believe that there is something going on in Windows 10, either Windows itself or a driver. I believe I have installed all of the latest drivers from ASUS, although the driver page can be confusing due to the lack of proper descriptions. This is a big problem for me as I used the sleep feature a lot. Has anyone experienced this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE 10/10/2015: Problem solved! The culprit was the ASUS AI Suite III software. I uninstalled and now everything is working the way it should.
