Windows 10: Windows 10 issues with headset/mic and picture thumbnails

hi, ive recently encountered two issues on my windows 10 system that i need help with,


the first issue is that my picture thumbnails aren't loading correctly, i have tried deleting iconcache.db, restarting pc, making sure enabling thumbnails are on, and nothing has seemed to work

this seems to only occur in my lightshot screenshot program's folder image is posted below




the second issue ive ran into is a problem with my mic/headset.

my headset is a hyperx cloud stinger core 7.1, and ive purchased it recently


idk if this is a hardware problem or windows, but while calling in discord, sometimes when i talk, my mic volume increases. i can have it at 30 and suddenly ill check and itll be at 100. ive tried disabling exclusive mode for it but nothing seems to work.


another problem ive had with my headset is that whenever somebody talks in my discord call, the volume of my other apps gets noticeably quieter, whether its chrome, video games, or really anything. i have tried setting the discord attenuation to 0%, disabled exclusive mode for my headset, but still nothing seems to work. i do not know if this is a windows problem, but i have posted it on other forums with no help


if somebody could help me with these problems i would greatly appreciate it. thanks!

Windows 10 Picture Files not updating thumbnails

Hi,

I realize that the picture files are not updating thumbnails. I will try to help you with this issue.

Suggest you to perform “Disk Cleanup”, cleaning up the temporary internet files, thumbnail, cookies and temp files, so as to check the thumbnail view of the photo is updated by cleaning up your temporary data.

Further, if the issue persists then you can also follow these steps:

• 
  Right click in the Folder that contains the images.
  
• 
  Select View.
  
• 
  Note the current icon size, and change it to another size (ie: "Medium-Icons" to "Large-Icons", then back to "Medium-Icons").
  
• 
  This causes the icons to be resized and their cache updated.

G433 Gaming Headset Mic is not working

I have no problem with the audio, only with the mic.

I don't have another headset to check with.

I am having this issue in all games and applications.

We would like to know more about the issue by answering the following questions below:

• Have you tried using other headsets with mic on your computer and check if it's working fine?
• Have you also tried to insert or use that headset with mic that came with your computer to other computers or devices? This will help us isolate the issue if it's related to your Windows 10 PC or to the headset with mic.
