    Windows 10 KB4284835 fails to install on some PCs


    Microsoft recently released a new cumulative update KB4284835 for devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, and it appears that the patch fails to install some PCs, according to reports from Microsoft Answers forum. While the update works fine on our devices, Windows 10 KB4284835 won’t install for some users.

    Microsoft in a support page says that they’re only aware of two issues. The known issues have nothing to do with failed installs. The update installs correctly for most of the users, but it looks like some users are now hitting issues with this new release.

    KB4284835 fails to install in some cases, and the system throws different errors in all cases, so it’s not easy to trace the problem. In some cases, the update results in an infinite loop and the update is re-offered again after every boot. There are also multiple reports of the traditionally failed install, and it could be possible that most of the issues are due to compatible issues.

    The problems mentioned above aren’t widespread, and it remains to be seen if more users hit such glitches when upgrading their computers.

    Windows 10 KB4284835 brings several important fixes and it offers a smooth upgrade experience on most of the devices. Microsoft has fixed several includes including a bug causing the Windows 10 April 2018 Update to fail with a black screen on some systems.

    Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

    I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

    Windows Updates failed to instal

    I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
