Windows 10: Windows 10 KB5015807 update fails

I have been trying to allow this update to install for five days. It has failed every time.Things I have done:1 All DISM commands recommended and sfc scannow have been run. No result.2 Reset Windows Update as recommended per tenforum's .bak file run. Stalls in deletion of files.3 Manual deletion of update files and new attempt made. No result.4 Download of the manual update file from Microsoft performed. Attempt at manual update made. Stalls overnight.What I note is that even when wuauserv and bit are turned off, they restart without a prompt.So, what now? By the way, I am a freelance edit

Windows Update KB5015807 Fails to Install on one Windows 10 Desktop

I am having an issue with one desktop that fails to install KB5015807 on WIndows 10. I have done the following to try and correct the issue but it still fails.

1. Ran SFC and DISM

2. Stopped all windows update services, deleted the Update download folder

3. Tried to manually install using files from Microsoft Update Catalog

4. Ran the Windows Update Troubleshooter

5. Deleted Temp Files

I've wasted hours trying to resolve this to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Errors in Event Viewer

Package KB5015807 failed to be changed to the Installed state. Status: 0x800f0922. Event ID 3

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: 2022-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5015807).

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

Quick and painless updated. But WHAT did it fixed for 21H2?
