    Hi,

    I have an annoying problem that I would love u guys to help. My windows 10 keep asking me to key in password and set up a new pin even though I have already follow guides on how to remove passwords and pin. Is this a bug or what? Keeps asking to set up pin after a couple of days and u can't skip the process.. Its annoying!

    I don't have any precious credentials in that I want to protect, any I don't think pin n password is necessary.

    How to stop Windows from asking to set up a PIN?

    My mother has a Windows 10 laptop, and lately it’s trying to get to set up a PIN. She has no desire to set up a PIN; she wants to keep logging in via her current password. For whatever reason, my Windows machines aren’t asking me to do this, so I don’t have
    any personal experience to draw from to find out how to turn these nags off for her.

    Basically: can someone provide me with a step by step walk through I can read out over the phone to a 60 year old person who doesn’t know much about computers, as to how to turn off the “set up a PIN” nag, so that she can continue to use her current Windows
    password?

    Windows 10 Xbox App asking for PIN number I never set.

    Hi,

    If you signed in to Windows 10 using your Microsoft account, the Xbox app will take the credentials you've used to sign in. There's a possibility that the PIN code you're asked to enter is the PIN code of your Windows 10 user account. Let's remove the PIN
    code. Here are the steps:

    • Click Start and select Settings.
    • Select Accounts.
    • Select Sign-in options, under PIN, click
      Remove      .
    • Confirm the changes by entering your profile password.

    If the same instance occurs after removing the PIN code and changing your user account's sign-in options, we suggest that you sign in to

    Windows keeps asking to set up a PIN

    I just updated my PC (in the middle of the day instead of 12AM like I said to, but I can't complain about that right now) and now every time I log on, Windows asks me to set up a PIN. I do not want one. It is much less secure than a password. Can someone
    tell me how to make Windows stop asking for a PIN? (If you are going to respond with "setting up a PIN is not that bad just deal with it" or "just set up the PIN it is secure enough" you may as well just not reply, I just need to know how to turn it off)
