Windows 10: Windows 10 keeps going to sleep whilst playing music in iTunes

    Windows 10 keeps going to sleep whilst playing music in iTunes


    When I am playing music in the background, it keeps going to sleep and I have to constantly wake it up. How do I stop this? There doesn't seem to be a setting in windows 10 to prevent this. The problem doesn't appear to happen with spotify, but always with iTunes. It did eventually go off whilst playing music via soundcloud in microsoft edge, but this was a good hour or so, well after the pc was set to go to sleep, perhaps this was when it was scheduled to hibernate, I'm not sure.

    What do you use to play music? I use......itunes. BEFORE YOU ATTACK ME I used to own Mac before they were the end all and a lot of my music was bought in itunes. So I'm kinda..........stuck.

    Anyway itunes will not allow your rig to go to sleep.

    System going to sleep when playing music

    Hey, iTunes is pretty good. But it does this regardless. I'm using Spotify (it streams music), Winamp and WMP. Especially when streaming music this should not happen, but it still does.

    It can happen in the middle of a song even.

    iTunes stops playing when the computer go to sleep

    How can I lock my computer and still have iTunes running so that I can listen to music via Airplay throught my home. If my computer is set to go into sleep mode after a specific time amount it locks and shuts down iTunes. I am running windows 10 Version
    1703 and ITunes 12.6.
