Windows 10: Windows 10 keeps resetting my Mic Level to 100 percent

Discus and support Windows 10 keeps resetting my Mic Level to 100 percent in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; I'm seriously pissed off, I built a new PC and installed W10 completely new and this problem that was before just a small nuisance is now a major bug...     Windows 10 keeps resetting my Mic Level to 100 percent


    I'm seriously pissed off, I built a new PC and installed W10 completely new and this problem that was before just a small nuisance is now a major bug that just won't go away.

    I have my mic level on 75 so it's not too loud for Teamspeak mates and the like and it keeps getting reset to 100, I don't know where from and why

    I disabled the exclusive control of other applications and it did nothing and I can't find any other solution for this problem....

    Mic sound levels raises automatically

    Since a couple of days my microphones sound levels keep resetting by itself to 100 every time I open a application that uses the mic, like skype for example.

    What I mean by levels: the option you find when you go to recording devices and double click the mic on the list, then go to tab levels.

    Just to be sure I did a complete reset of my pc, fresh clean install.

    I have a samson meteor usb mic.

    I have windows 10 with all the latest updates installed.

    As you are facing issues with accessing the Mic on your device, do not worry we will help you with this issue.

    Do let us know the make and model of the devices you are using?

    Let us try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

    Step 1: I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

    Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

    • Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
      Troubleshooting and select it.
    • Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
      Troubleshooting window.
    • Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
    • Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
      Troubleshooter.

    Step 2: If you are facing issues accessing mic for Cortana, I suggest you to refer to the below post replied by
    Wasim Asad on August 18, 2015 and check if it helps.

    Cortana can’t hear me – Microphone level keeps getting
    set to zero.

    Windows 10 keeps resetting my Mic Level to 100 percent

    Mic keeps Automatically Adjusting on Windows 10

    I've done these multiple times. The apply button never unlocks itself so I can apply after I adjust my mic settings. My mic keeps muting itself. Please help me.
