Windows 10: Windows 10 keeps restarting after updates

I am using "Windows 10.0.18363 Build 18363 Professional". If I don't have to use it for business reasons, I will switch to another operating system immediately. Because some genius minds thought that keep force closing all my running applications and force restarting my own computer my own property without asking is a good idea.

Tried to edit some "regedit" values, tried "gpedit". Unchecked all the checkboxes of "Settings > Update & Security > Advanced Options ". Windows just keep restarting after every update and putting me in very difficult situations. I HAVE TO keep my computer and applications running because I need to connect to it remotely from time to time and it's running "missing-critical" applications.

I don't want Windows to restart my computer no matter what. Never. Ever. I know updates are important and you want to apply these changes immediately so no one can sue you due to a bug in your or other 3rd parties' codes etc. etc. But I want to take the responsibility to apply updates because otherwise, you are giving me headaches.

Dear Microsoft Windows please stop this meaningless behavior or go bankrupt soon so businesses won't be able to force us to use Windows.

Anyway , You are luckier than me. My computer was locked directly after updated to Windows 10 . but the solution is easy.

 

[Solved] Windows 10 keeps reinstalling KB3119142

I noticed quite some time ago that KB3119142 (Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 Redistributable Package) kept reinstalling itself for some reason. At least once daily. Sometimes up to several times a day. I just ignored it. It didn't seem to be doing any harm. And I figured they'd eventually fix it. Well...days turned into weeks, weeks into months, with no end to the problem in sight. It dragged on unsolved for at least the last few months. Literally reinstalling itself hundreds of(at least a hundred, felt like more) times in that period of time.

So I finally googled it a couple days ago. And just got around to fixing it today. Which appears to have worked. And it couldn't have been easier to do. I feel so stupid to have let it intimidate me for so long.*Oops!

Windows Update keeps failing!

Hi,

I had once a similar issue like yours, i.e. not able to update Windows 7. What I did to solve the problems is:

- go to control panel, then to "Troubleshouting" > "System and Security" > "Fix problems with Windows update" > click "Advanced" > choose "Apply repairs automatically".

And Windows will start detecting the issues and will repair "Windows update components". The problems should be fixed now, close the program, restart the PC, and see if the mentioned steps have fixed the problems you mentioned.
