Windows 10: Windows 10 keeps taking longer to log in each time?

I've had this problem for the past few months.

It always booted up and logged in at perfect speeds when I just got the laptop new, but after a few weeks it started taking longer to log in each time.


It now takes 1 and a half hours to just log in. It's been 1 hour and 24 minutes since I entered my pin to log in, and it's still logging in as I type this.

Who knows, next time it will not even boot up at all.

How do I fix this horrible game of patience?

I did not really want you to go into Safe mode, that can happen if you log into Safe Mode without Networking and you use a Microsoft Account to log into Windows 10 . . .

Where are you at now, are you still locked out of your PC in Safe Mode, or is your PC taking its time logging into Windows normally?

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
