Windows 10: Windows 10 Key Lost After System Restore

I own a Surface Studio which was delivered with OS pre-installed. Two weeks ago, after turning on the unit I received a screen indicating the 10 was not booting up with options:- Continue booting up Windows 10- Shutdown PC- Run Win Diagnostic- Restart PC- Restore PCAfter multiple attempts with all option except Restore the Surface Studio would not boot up. I decide to restore the PC. As I attempted to complete the restoration of the PC I was asked for the Bitlocker recovery key. After realizing what was asked, I retrieved the long numeric key from my Microsoft account. Entering this in be

Thanks you for posting your reply and update.

I suggest you to check if the Volume Shadow Copy service is running on your computer. This service enables System Restore on a computer. Refer the steps below to check the service.

• Press Windows + R Keys to open run command.
• Type services.msc and hit Enter.
• In the services panel look for the ‘Volume Shadow Copy’.
• Right click on the service and restart the service.
• Also set the startup type to ‘Automatic’

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.
