Windows 10: Windows 10 laptop either boots incredibly slowly, or takes incredibly long to sign in.

So, I've had this HP Pavilion gaming laptop for about 2 years or so now, I bought it to use for university studies. Recently I've run into an issue where my computer takes forever to boot up or sign in. I've tried a few different things to see if it would fix the problem, but nothing seemed to work. I ran antivirus scans, defragmented my drive, deleted a lot of older programs that I no longer use, turned off a lot of startup programs. None of that seemed to help, the boot time is still quite long. However, I've noticed that sometimes the boot time is much quicker, near-instant, but signing int

Windows 10 incredibly slow boot times.

Hi,

After upgrading from windows 8.1 to windows 10 my computer suffers from incredibly slow boot times.

It boots to a black screen with white loading circle in the middle, I have timed it and it takes 5 minutes plus to reach the logon screen from the black screen.

Can anyone suggest what may be the problem?

Problems with my E63. Running incredibly slowly.

Basically my E63 is running incredibly slowly and will not run any applications or even allow me to send a text. It allows me to make a phone call, but only if I type in the number from the main screen, which takes about 30 seconds to appear once ive typed
it. Any ideas what the problem is?

Method 1: I suggest you to enable the fast startup and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

  Press Windows + R keys on the keyboard to open Run command.
