Windows 10: Windows 10 laptop no audio device detected.

Hello.

I booted up my laptop today and for some reason my internal sound device is not being detected by windows.

I tried going into device manager, and "high definition audio controller" is listed under system devices.

I tried updating the driver by using the search for updates online, didn't work.

I tried updating the driver manually, didn't work.

I tried updating the driver manually under the file C:/Windows/WinSxX, didn't work.

I tried unistalling the driver and reinstalling it, didn't work.

I tried uninstalling, then restarting, didn't work.

I tried uninstalling, then going to Action->Add Legacy Hardware, and I couldn't find my device in the options to add.

I tried scanning for any kind of malware, didn't work.

I really need help as this is a school computer and I need to access online school because of the corona virus. I have to watch these videos from my instructors.

The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

Everyone that post ids, need just do these steps and you will be good. I kinda tired of keep on uploading the inf. file

1.Go Open up device manager
2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
4. Right click and hit update driver
5. Browse my computer for driver software
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
10. Click Next and Yes
additional if you want dts audio and others, install it now before next step.
After it is done, restart the PC

You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.

 

No audio devices detected


So, after upgrading to Windows 10, my computer no longer detects any audio devices.

Device manager only detects nvidia hd audio
Playback devices only detects nvidia hd audio

After installing realtek drivers, realtek is nowhere to be found - no icon in system tray, no realtek device in device manager etc.

USB headphones work fine, just dont have any support for rear panel audio jacks, have disconnected front panel audi connector, installed fress win10 copy, still nothing

  Now click on troubleshooting and click on
  Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Click on Playing Audio and Click on Next button.
  

If the issue still persist try the below steps:

Method 2.

I recommend you to update the audio driver and check if it helps.

  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device manager.
  
• Now click on Audio input and output and right click on it and
  update the driver.
• For the video issues try the below method.

Method 3.

Also I suggest you to update the display driver and let us know the status.

• 
  Press Windows Key + R and type
  devmgmt.msc in the box and hit Enter.

  Locate and Expand the Display Adapter driver.
  
• 
  Right Click on the Display Device.
  
• 
  Click on update.
