Windows 10: Windows 10 Laptop resetting stuck at 50%

Due to an issue with my keyboard that was only resolved in Safe Mode (number 5 spammed despite no stuck keys, making typing impossible) I decided to perform a total reset of my HP Pavilion. It's been eight hours, and it's been stuck at 50% for two of them. Help?

Resetting the laptop stuck at 99%

Original Title: reset laptop

I bought an Acer. When the laptop was switched on at the shop, i skipped the step where i had to insert my microsoft email add.

The laptop was functioning normally, windows 10 were installed. Then at home, i tried to sign in but it didnt work out. I went back to the shop and they had to reset the laptop but its stuck at 99%. The resetting is taking hours and hours. Is this normal?
All programs have been lost as well. Please help.

A corrupted components of the update is one of the possible causes why the update stuck at 50%. Can you tell us the current build of your computer?

Meanwhile, kindly follow these steps:

• Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter. You may refer to this link.
  Note: The automated troubleshooter will try to identify and then resolve the issues that it finds.
  
• Follow the steps on the "Fix Windows Update errors by using the DISM or System Update Readiness tool" article. Here's the link.
  
• Manually install the update in Microsoft Catalog. Please click this link.
  
• Clear the Windows Update cache manually. To do this, you may check this link.
  

After performing the said steps, please try to update your computer again.
