Windows 10: Windows 10 laptop shuts down/crashes overnight, but fans and keyboard backlight are still on...

My Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop running Windows 10 shuts down/crashes overnight, but fans and keyboard backlight are still on.The screen goes black and the computer won't start up again until I hold the power button down for 5+ seconds to turn it off, then turn it back on again.Basically, I have to hard reboot this thing every morning. It only seems to happen overnight.Anyone know what this might be?

Automating keyboard backlight switching.

Hi.
I have a Perixx 324 keyboard with backlighting. Fn+Home keys toggle the lighting.
When my computer boots-up, the keyboard backlighting lights up. That’s good.
When I close down the computer, the backlighting remains on. That’s not so good.

I have a shortcut to shut the computer down. What can I add to the code to operate the FN+Home keys so that the backlighting turns off.
The coding in the shortcut is

C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c shutdown /s /f /t 0

Or can you tell me another way to operate the backlight off command when I shutdown without having to use the Fn+Home keys?

 

Windows 10 shuts down overnight

I tried that and it hasn't helped. Thanks for the suggestion. Wondering if there's a setting that would deny the laptop shutting down unless I actively select 'shutdown'. It never used to shut down overnight for all the months I've had this computer and
only started in a past several days.

 

windows 10 backlight failure

keyboard backlighting wont work (except on start up) after the windows

10 pro upgrade on asus N550JV laptop. Any suggestions?
