    Windows 10 laptop stuck on black screen with cursor and no keybord command/shortcut works.


    I'll try to explain in as much detail I can here:when I first press the power button I get an error message saying that my laptops battery capacity is very weak and then it tells me to press enter to continue boot. Once I press enter the hp loading screen pops up for a while and then it goes into an initial Black screen with no cursor where no keyboard shortcut works After that it jumps to the windows update screen where it's stuck at 7% updating for about 20 minutesThen it jumps to restarting where it stays there for a very long timesometimes upto an hour or moreFinally it puts me in this b

    Windows 10 stuck on black screen after boot.


    Hi guys, I'm having an issue with my laptop. Updated to Windows 10 Pro x64 about a month ago. Two days ago I shutdown the system just fine but just yesterday when I booted it, it got past the Acer logo during boot followed by a black screen as usual... BUT it stuck there forever. Restarted it multiple times, same result. Sometimes the cursor shows up but its useless as its just the cursor. *Confused

    Tried the following things.


    • Tried CTRL + SHIFT + ESC for task manager but nothing came up.
    • Tried CTRL + ALT t+ DEL still nothing.
    • Went through recovery options then selected safe mode but, to my surprise, the same result.
    • Then used the chkdsk command through cmd in recovery options, didn't find any problem.
    • Ran the sfc /scannow command from boot, didn't found any integrity violations. *Shock

    Any suggestions? I still have to try system restore though. *Think

    Windows 10 install stuck with black screen without cursor


    Yesterday I upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and at the time of installation it gives message it may restart several times. It progressed to auto restarting after the installing step, but after the restart and gone through the dell startup screen blank, there is no cursor or anything on the screen, and it’s just black. I left it for over half an hour and still nothing. I did a shut down pressing the power button. Again I stared my laptop and it works but my bitdefender antivirus has been stopped working. So I uninstalled and searched for the windows 10 compatible bitdefender patch and installed.

    Now its working perfectly.

    I didn't see on your list using Win-X to bring up the basic setup of system tools like the original control panel, easy access to device manager, etc. not technically a list of commands, but at least a shortcut *Smile Windows 10 laptop stuck on black screen with cursor and no keybord command/shortcut works. :)
