Windows 10: Windows 10 Laptop Stuck on Sign-In Screen

Hello Everyone,


Recently, I've come across a major issue with my Lenovo Legion Y520 laptop with Windows 10 installed. I was using my laptop and didn't turn it off before I went to bed, instead I let it go to sleep by itself. I woke up this morning to see that the sign-in screen background was different and that anytime I pressed any key on my keyboard the screen would turn black.

At first I figured it was an issue with Windows Explorer and tried to access the task manager. However, any key that I press on the keyboard will turn the screen black for a few seconds with the mouse cursor visible on the screen. I can't even adjust the volume of the laptop or screen brightness without it doing this. Eventually the screen will return to what is above. I can't click, use keystrokes, or anything. I tried booting in Safe Mode, I tried to manually run the Windows Explorer, I tried turning it off and on again.


The one thing I found that was weird was that I can use Fn+F10 which is a shortcut to bring up the various screen mirroring options. However, this PC has never been used with an HDMI port to connect it to an external display. I tried changing these options to see if something would change, but nothing happened.


I haven't installed any software or downloaded anything on this laptop within the past week or so. I've never had a problem like this before, and I'm at my ends trying to figure out what is going on. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Some information about my PC is below:

Laptop stuck on sign in screen.

Laptop was downloading windows 10 updates and now is stuck on sign in screen. Can't get it to do anything.

 

Laptop with broken screen How much?

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

 

Windows 10 stuck at black screen


hi, i tried upgrading my windows 7, but failed 5 times.
step 1 on copying files are 100%
step 2 installing features n updates are 100%
step 3 FAILED, it stuck on black screen and freeze, nothing i can do besides force restart and its restored to my windows 7 back.

any idea how to solve this? it's always stuck at 75% step 2 and when go to step 3 is freeze ( 5 times in row, i'm thinking give up or buy new laptop with windows 10*Biggrin*Biggrin*Biggrin)

p.s i'm currently downloading ISO file to blank DVD hopefully it's works
