    Windows 10 Latest Update - Sound driver no longer working


    I’ve recently done a full reset on my Toshiba Satellite C50D-A-13B and installed the latest version of windows 10 (Version 2004 10.0.19041 build 19041) and as a result my sound driver is no longer working.

    I’ve tried installing several sound drivers now but to no avail.

    The current driver installed is CHDMI64.SYS (4.98.32.0)

    When viewing the sound menu the playback device is set as: Digital Audio (HDMI) Conexant Audio Driver for AMD HDMI CODEC Not plugged in

    No matter what I try I can’t get the sound back, can anyone help if possible please.

    Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

    Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

    Hi,

    In most cases, the current drivers for your sound card are not compatible with the latest version of Windows. We suggest in getting the latest driver for your sound card and make sure that the driver is fully compatible with the latest version of Windows

    The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

    I have the lastest build 15063.332 with alc1220 and still can't get DTS or DD over optical with the latest asus drivers.
