Windows 10: windows 10 licence re-use

Discus and support windows 10 licence re-use in Windows 10 Updates and Activation to solve the problem; I have 2 laptops, one is a old version which came with a windows 7. the other is a newer version which came with a windows 10.     I have 2 laptops, one is a old version which came with a windows 7. the other is a newer version which came with a windows 10. A friend tried to help me with cleaning up my old laptop and then installed a windows 10 from his institution, now the licence has expired and he no longer works there.

    My question; can I use the windows licence from my new laptop to activate the windows in my old laptop?? I have also bought a CD of a windows 10 but the CD drive is no longer working so I don't know how to sort it out.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
