Windows 10: Windows 10 Lock Screen Slideshow Not Working Preview isn't either

Hello all-While trying to solve a previous problem on my Windows 10 machine, I found that now the lock screen slideshow does not play. I will do WIN+L to quickly lock the device, and when there used to be a slideshow playing, I am simply greeted with the standard Windows "cave scene". I can change from picture to picture, or even do the spotlight. But the Slideshow does not work. The preview window in the settings Personalization -> lock screen does not work either in terms of showing the slideshow. I have confirmed that my power settings /battery savers aren't interfering, I have checked

You can have the same preview layout for your lock screen and desktop background slideshow as long as the photos are saved on the same folder. To change the desktop background picture to slideshow, please follow these steps:

• Open the Settings app.
• Click on Personalization.
• Under Background, choose Slideshow.
• Click on Browse, and then navigate to your slideshow folder that you have created to specify the directory.
• Set the time interval. Under Change picture every choose your time preference of between 1 minute and 1 day.

After customizing the desktop background, you'll need to configure the lock screen slideshow settings too. Follow the steps given on this article and select the same slideshow folder:

Lock Screen/Idle Slideshow Issues

No. These are slideshow images in my documents in a folder. The thing is, I think the lock screen settings are broken. Because when you go to settings, background, choose slideshow and you can see a preview of the background under the title that says "background."

Then I go to lock screen, do the same thing and the preview for the lock screen slideshow isn't updating. It's like the desktop colors are overwriting the lock screen slideshow image setting. I even tried switching to windows spotlight or picture and switching
it back to slideshow again, no change, still shows a solid color, no matter the setting.

Should I still follow the same steps?
