Windows 10: Windows 10 Lock up with Yellow and Blue spots

Has anyone ever had this issue where Windows 10 freezes with yellow and blue spots.

How do i resolve this?

I found this article on tomshardware site. They talked about its either a bad GPU, VRAM, and PSU

Remove yellow/blue sheild icon from shortcuts


After upgrading to Windows 10, some desktop shortcuts have UAC shield icons. Is it possible to remove them?





EDIT: Here's a solution...
Launch the shortcuts via CMD:

1. Right-click the shortcut to Properties
2. Click Change Icon, then click OK when its window pops up (necessary step to avoid losing the icon)
3. Add the following, plus a space, to the beginning of the Target field, leaving the existing path at the end:

   cmd /c start ""

I had previously solved this by editing a system icon file, but that method doesn't seem to be working as of update 1607, plus it was a lot more trouble.

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

N8 Yellow spot on screen

Yellow spot on the screen is usually a residue from glue during manufacturing. Nothing serious, just annonying. There are a lot of similar complaints on iPhone 4 having many yellow spots all over its screens.



Just bring it to NCC and ask them the clean the inside of the screen for you. Do not try to do this yourself, as it would void the warranty.
