Windows 10: Windows 10 Locked in Performance/Gaming Mode?

I had a BSOD.

Now all my windows have no transparency.

My colors are very contrasty.

It looks like Windows95(Like if you ALT+TAB from a game).

I tried adjusting visual effects.

I tried different battery modes(not a laptop, though...).

I tried a new theme.

I tried adjusting color options.

What am I missing?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Games cause the computer to freeze seconds after opening them for Windows 10

Thank you for providing us the troubleshooting steps that you have performed.

I suggest to run the game in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the game and click on properties.
  
• 
  Under Compatibility tab, check the option for ‘Run in Compatibility mode’.
  
• 
  Select Windows 8.1 from the drop down list.
  
• 
  Click on Apply and then OK.
