Windows 10: Windows 10 Login & 2FA

Hi all. Hope you can help. I’m in the process of securing my hotmail account (main MSFT account that includes Office subscription) and want to add 2FA. I use this account for logging into my main Windows 10 PC.

If I add 2FA to the account could it create an issues with my Windows 10 PC login ?

Windows 10 asks for 2FA during login

Hello,

I have 2 laptops joined to Azure using my outlook.com email.

My outlook.com had 2FA setup, since updating to 20h2 one of the laptops started asking for 2FA during login, second laptop doesnt do that.

Has something changed in 20h2 in terms of login? I dont want to use 2FA when accessing my laptop as it takes much longer.

Is there any way to switch this Azure authentication off without removing laptop from Azure account?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.
