Windows 10: Windows 10 login double characters from one touch on touch scree.

Hi, I have an HP Elite X2 1012 running W10 20H2 and most times when I use a pin to log in on the touch screen I get two of the same character from one touch. Most times it seems to happen on the third character so the fourth character ends up the same and windows says the pin is incorrect which it is as the fourth character is wrong. It often stops the pin login option because of this. To explain another way if my pin was 1234 I will get 1233 when using the touch screen. It doesn't seem to be a problem if I use my password. I log in many times per day so having to touch screen type my passwo

Yes, it works on 8.1, at least on my surface pro 3.

Couldn't do a screenshot cause can't get to Snipping tool while keyboard is up, so I did a "step recording". See attached. Pardon the background, it's my Granddaughter! Cheers! *Cool

If the above steps didn't work, we suggest that you disable the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service. Please follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type Services, and then press Enter.
• On the right pane, look for Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service. Double-click on it.
• Locate the Startup Type drop down, and change it to Disabled.
• Click on Apply button to save changes.
• Click on OK button to close the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service
  window.
