Windows 10: Windows 10 Login issue

Hi all. Hopefully my issue can be solved easily, but it is an issue that I've never encountered before. Basically, I just fired up my desktop PC and when I input the password, it isn't accepted by Windows, even though every other machine, laptop's, Xbox's, accounts on my phone and tablet, all accept the current password, just not my desktop. So just to ensure I was inputting the correct password, I went into my Windows account on my laptop and changed the password. That's fine, it worked, and I can still sign in to every device I own, except of course my Desktop PC. It's doing my head in. I've tried holding shift and restarting so I could start the repair options, and I tried resetting the machine, right back to getting rid of everything, apps and settings included, but nothing works, at some point I always end up having to put a password in, even after supposedly resetting the machine. I even updated it by clicking on the restart/off button on the screen, didn't change a thing.
I guess the only thing I haven't done is try to recover, or reinstall the OS using a system image. I'd prefer to not have to reinstall, but if that's my only option so be it. Hopefully though, someone here will be able to help me before I take that step.

Windows 10 Login issues

I suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Did you make any changes prior to the issue?
• Did you try with only safe mode or safe mode with networking?
• What is the critical error you are getting?

If you are using Windows 10. To go to safe mode you have to follow the below steps.

If you are able to go to login screen in normal mode try the below steps to go to safe mode with networking and check if the issue persists.

• 
  At the login screen click on the power symbol.
  
• 
  Hold SHIFT + Click Restart.
  
• 
  After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.
  
• 
  Select advanced options under
  Troubleshoot screen.
  
• 
  Click on Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to
  Safe Mode with networking and check if you are able to login.
  
• 
  If it logs in Create a new user account and link the Microsoft account and check if the issue persists.

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
