Windows 10: Windows 10 login

Recently, i have been having an issue with logging into windows. We have 2 profiles on our laptop, and usually when you turned it on you are asked which profile you wish to log into. However now (probably after some update) the face of the last person logged in pops up with no option to switch to the other?


This is particularly annoying as when my girlfriend goes to use the laptop, she has to ring me at work, for me to remind her of my password (now pin) log in as me, then log me out, and then you get the option of choosing the profile you wish to log in as! surely this can't be the answer?


I shut down the laptop properly after use, but every time, my face pops up and she cannot switch profiles without logging on as me first and then logging me out. This means that everytime i have finished, and i go to shutdown the laptop, i have to log out first? but then i have to log back in again to shutdown? and we are back to square one?


Whats the solution? anyone?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

  Are you able to login to Microsoft Account on Web?

  Have you installed any language pack?
  

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.
