Windows 10: Windows 10 - Lost Login Password

Hi, and thanks for help.

I have a computer here whose owner changed the password at login (it's of form L: myemail@att.net) and now has no idea what it is.

Should be a simple fix, but he also has no idea what the login password to L: myemail@att.net is, and it doesn't look to be recoverable. Might be recoverable by filling out a form and waiting a month or so. But certainly not easily.

How can I get him back into his computer?

Windows 10 ,New User ID & Password created and forgot password.

Now unable to login

if I reset factory default my all software ,ms office ,games etc will be lost

please help

 

I'm keeping loosing my documents

I am not using a temporary profile. I login to Windows automatically without typing any password. I login like this since I bought my PC.

I’ve tried to do all these things:

The user has a Microsoft account, and can use OPTION THREE in the tutorial below reset his password at Microsoft online.

Can't be done. Neither the email address or the phone number option work.

 

What happens when you select "I don't have any of these" at step 4 in OPTION THREE?

 

If you just want to regain access to the files on your computer, you can bypass the Microsoft account login with PCUnlocker, Kon Boot, Elcomsoft or Passware Kit. Another way is to create a new admin account by booting off any Windows 10 install disc:

Reset Forgotten Windows 10 Password without Reset Disk
Reset a Windows 10 password - 4sysops

The last resort is booting from Windows 10 install disc and perform a clean install.
