    I'm currently investigating a machine which has brought into me

    the Dell machines boots up as normal but when it restart and stops at the windows logo , with no HDD activity displayed on machine LED

    I've done DISM / SFC and chkdsk everything is okay no error.

    I've even uninstalled previous installed updates and feature updates last one 20H1

    still wont go past the windows logo.

    I have to press the power button in order for windows to start normal.

    Any help will be welcome.

    windows 10 slow boot

    Just done a fresh install of windows 10. Still got the same problem.
    Turn pc on from cold or a restart. Hangs on the win boot logo for a minute or so then boots in to the desktop
    cant work it out why its so slow to boot up? any ideas*Mad windows 10 machine works normal on cold boot, restarts boot up untill the windows logo no... :mad:

    To add to what @Drone said, W10 still does not seem to like power-saving features in BIOS, and doesn't seem to like the "fast start" option in Windows, which ironically makes it faster without that option.

    Windows 10 boot problems

    go back to 8.1 and leave it, Otherwise Start Completely Fresh. Normally issues like that are driver related or a virus/spyware/rootkit had infected your machine
