Windows 10: Windows 10 Mail App Error Can't Sync to Aol Mail ...how to fix

I'M SURE U ARE ALREADY SUPER FRUSTRATED LIKE I WAS AT THIS POINT...AFTER SEARCHING AND READING AND FAILED ATTEMPTS AT FIXING THIS SIMPLE ERROR..."NEED TO UPDATE/CHANGED PERMISSION TO ALLOW THIS DEVISE" SO AOL CAN SYNC TO WINDOWS 10 MAIL APP........ WELL....HERE IS THE SIMPLE FIX..... SIGN INTO YOUR AOL MAIL ACCOUNT/GO TO MAIL BOX SCREEN.....UPPER RIGHT CORNER CLICK YOUR USERNAME PIC.... NEXT SCREEN IS PROFILE INFO....ON LEFT CLICK SECURITY SETTINGS..... NEXT SCREEN SCROLL DOWN TO ALLOW SHITTY SECUR APPS PERMISSION/3RD PARTY APP PERMISSION.... THEN THERE WILL BE A NOT A ROBOT/CAPTCHA....AND NOW U CAN LOG OUT OF AOL MAIL AND NOW SYNC YOUR MAIL IN THE WINDOWS 10 MAIL APP....... IF THIS SAVED YOUR DAY AND PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE THEN LET ME KNOW ......HAVE FUN!!!!

Unable to bring up AOL mail in windows 10 mail app

Auto sync Windows 10 Mail app

I have a problem with Mail app on a Windows 10 system (updated from Windows 8).
The sync settings just don't work on any email accounts and (of course) in the calendar app. I can open mail app up and force a manual refresh/sync which will also update the calendar with entries I make remotely or via phone but the regularity of checks is not working. Do others see this? It kind of makes the lives tiles redundant as the actual apps will only sync manually.
I've checked other solutions like

• Enable\Disable sync options in Settings under "Calendar" section
  
• Run troubleshooting app from Microsoft
  
• Rebooting system
  
• Set app sync on "as items arrive" or "every 15 minutes"
  
• Update mail app
  
• Disable firewall
  

None of these "fixes" worked. Everything else is working fine. If I press sync button it works (it downloads mail and calendar events) but the app doesn't do this automatically.
(IMAP account)

Someone has\had same problem? And have you managed to rectify this problem?

But I have found a solution on this. Actually the problem was with the 2-Step Authentication which I had enabled for my Aol account. Now I've removed it and the mails have started to sync in the Windows Mail app.
