Windows 10: Windows 10 Mail App hard reset

My mail app seems to be glitched when it comes to managing accounts. There are currently two non-existent email addresses linked to my Mail app that I can't get rid of.

I have reset the app via settings app, uninstalled via settings app, uninstalled via Powershell and nothing seems to be working. Every time I try to delete these accounts on the 'manage email and accounts' tab either in the settings app OR the 'manage accounts' tab in the Mail app, nothing will come up, or it will alt+tab me into a different window.

When I reinstalled the mail app, it just re-signed me into these glitched email accounts.

Is there a way to hard reset the Mail app/delete the cache/go back to a previous version of Mail to reset it to completely default settings, so that it does not automatically sign me into these accounts when I reset the app?

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!

If that's the case, we suggest resetting Mail & Calendar app by following the steps below:

• On the search bar, type Settings and press Enter.
• Select Apps.
• Locate and click Mail and Calendar, select Reset.

After resetting the apps, we recommend resetting cache of Windows Store:

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.
