Windows 10: Windows 10 Mail App

Discus and support Windows 10 Mail App in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have the inbuilt Windows 10 Mail App on my machine and everything about it has been fine.....until yesterday when I installed the system update...     I have the inbuilt Windows 10 Mail App on my machine and everything about it has been fine.....until yesterday when I installed the system update KB4592438.

    Whilst I can perform all functionality from within the App -Send/Receive etc.- my problem is when I print an email from the App the resultant output comes in such small font size characters that is almost unreadable!

    I raised this matter today with Microsoft Windows Support, but I have not had a resolution offered that fixes this issue.

    By way of background, I am running the Mail App on Windows 10 Home, Build 19042.685 and never had this problem until after I carried out the latest install update. There are also no print font size output issues when printing from my mail host domain Xfinity Connect or printing regular pages from the internet via IE.

    I have uninstalled the Mail App rebooted my system [several times] and reinstalled the Mail App but the small font size persists when printing email.

    Any suggestions that can assist would be most welcome but please no trial-and-error recommendations!

    Hello Adam,

    This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Windows 10 Mail App :)

    In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    Hey Shawn,
    I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
    Go figure!
