Windows 10: Windows 10 Mail App

Please help me. I can't seem to find any correct answers!! I have a laptop with Windows 10. The Mail app uses one of my hotmail accounts. That hotmail account is also linked to laptop startup and MS Office. Now, when I got to the mail app, I get the following: "Your Outlook account settings are out of date." It gives me the option to select "fix", but it tries for about 10 minutes, then says it can't. It will not send or receive emails. I have tried from and to various accounts, but nothing registers/shows in the mail app's sent and inboxes. When I go to that same account on the web

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!
