Windows 10: Windows 10 mail archive

Here is my dilemma. I worked for a company that used google business including gmail. I used the windows 10 email client for gmail, and not their web mail. When I left the company, they obviously rescinded my access to those accounts. All I care about is my emails from the last year or so, some of which I can use as evidence if I sue this company. I have a MS Surface Book II and desktop at home, and when I powered up my laptop, all the emails from gmail were gone, and my password did not work. Before I turned the desktop on, I removed it from the network, and since it couldn't call home, all my emails remained.


I moved all the emails to the archive folder where they remain. I can access them whether I have an internet connection or not which leads me to believe that all of those emails are stored locally somewhere. What I would like to do is transfer all of those emails to my Surface to make them "portable," but for the life of me, I can't find a way to do it. I realize that the native mail prog on win 10 is very limited, but there has to be a way to do this. Do any of you have an idea. Many thank yous in advance!

Archived mails are missing in Windows 10 Mail App.

Hi John,

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue.

Follow the Steps below and check.

Step 1: Check the sync settings in Mail app.

• Open Mail app and Hoover mouse point on top.
• Next to Search icon you can seen Sync this View.
• Click on the icon and let it Sync.
• Close and reopen Mail app and check Archived mails.

If issue persist follow next Step.

Step 2: Run the Windows App Troubleshooter.

I suggest you to download and run the app troubleshooter from the below link and check if it helps.

When you use 'NEW Mail" in Windows 10 Mail one of the listings that appears at the top of the page is the word "Archive".

How do you locate a file that is put in "Archive"?

I appreciate your interest in Windows 10. I understand that you want to Archive emails on your Windows 10 computer. I’ll help you with the steps.



Windows 10 comes with its own email client called Windows Mail, which helps you access all your emails on the go.



To archive your emails, open the Windows Mail app, right click on the email and select Archive.



To check the emails that you have archived, on the left pane, click on
More and select Archive, you will be able to see the emails. Refer the screenshot below:









If you do not find the option, please reply with the details requested below:

1. What is the version of Mail app? To check open
   Mail app, click on Gear icon and select About.
   
2. What is the build version of Windows that you are using currently? To check type:
   winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
   Enter.
