Windows 10: Windows 10 Mail - Export Setup/Settings

Hello,


I just bought a new Windows 10 PC and was wondering if there is a handy way to export the setup of my old laptops Windows 10 Mail - it currently has seven email accounts configured, all with unique signatures, contacts, etc. If at all possible, I would like to avoid having to manually run through all of the setup again.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Live Mail export to Windows 10 mail app

Windows Mail app has limited feature to have the have the contacts, emails and folders in Windows Live Mail to be exported. With regard to this, we recommend that you export your Windows Live Mail email, contacts, and data instead to Outlook. You can check

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
